How to join the Indian and Sri Lankan Ramayana sites into one journey: Rameswaram and Dhanushkodi, the Colombo flight, Seetha Amman Temple, Ashoka Vatika and…
Can you arrange the whole trail as one booking?
We plan the journey as one itinerary and quote the Indian leg in full. The connecting flight and Sri Lankan ground arrangements are quoted as separate line items so the costs stay transparent, and the dates are matched so the two legs join without a wasted day.
Which direction is better, India first or Sri Lanka first?
From Sri Lanka, flying into Madurai or Trichy for Rameswaram first works well and keeps the domestic leg for the end. From India or overseas, most families finish in Sri Lanka so the hill country becomes a restful close to the yatra.
Is the trail suitable for elderly parents?
Yes, with pacing. The Rameswaram temple corridor involves considerable walking on stone, and the Sri Lankan hill roads are winding. We shorten driving days, book hotels close to the temples and arrange assistance where the temple permits it.
When is the best time to travel the trail?
November to February is comfortable on the Indian side. The Sri Lankan hill country is pleasant for most of the year but wettest during the north-east monsoon from October to January, so allow flexible days if you travel then.
